Ericsson is a neighborhood in the southeast Nokomis Community of Minneapolis. It is bounded by 42nd and 43rd streets on the north, Hiawatha Avenue on the east, Minnehaha Parkway on the south and Cedar Avenue on the west. It is named after John Ericsson, a Swedish engineer who designed and built the U.S.S. Monitor for the U.S. Navy during the Civil War.
