Columbia Park Minneapolis Real Estate
The Columbia Park neighborhood is in the Northeast Community of Minneapolis. It is surrounded by St. Anthony Boulevard, University Avenue NE, Central Avenue, 4th Street NE, the Mississippi River, 37th Avenue and 27th Avenue.
This neighborhood was named for the green space called Columbia Park, which was acquired in the “Colombian” year of 1892 commemorating the 400th year since Christopher Columbus’ voyage to the Americas.
Columbia Park has so much green space and parkland that this neighborhood is almost "hidden" from the rest of the city. The parks lend well to the mostly residential area, which gives the Columbia Park residents plenty to do year-round.
The neighborhood is serene in nature, but still lies only minutes away from Downtown Minneapolis and all it has to offer. The entertainment, shopping and dining options in the downtown area are almost endless.
