The Downtown East neighborhood also contains several parks, museums and theaters, including Mill Ruins Park, Mill City Museum and the Guthrie Theater. Like other neighborhoods, a community association has taken an active role in defining Downtown East. The Downtown Minneapolis Neighborhood Association has cultivated a clean, attractive and well maintained environment here. Residents are inclined to be polite and friendly, often engaging in regular with the association.
