The neighborhood is named after Josiah G. Holland, a 19th century American educator and editor. Holland is home to about 3,500 residents, who live insulated from the rat race but still easily access the cultural, social and other amenities of Downtown. Holland also has its own recreation activities to offer and a core commercial district with shops, restaurants and cafes, though Holland is largely residential.
