Longfellow’s northern boundary is 27th Street and southern boundary is 34th Street. Famous poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s memory is honored in Minneapolis with a community and a neighborhood named after him.
This neighborhood is most well-known for its Bungalow style homes that have dominated the landscape for decades. There are also Craftsman style homes and Arts and Crafts style homes within the neighborhood.
This community is set up along the western edge of the Mississippi River. The area has many beautiful sights; it's even better when you live right next to the river and have daily access. The recreation opportunities are endless around the river, and also extend to Lake Hiawatha and Lake Nokomis, both of which are very close to the neighborhood limits.
