Lowry Hill Minneapolis Real Estate
The Minneapolis neighborhood of Lowry Hill is located just west of the downtown area and within the greater Calhoun-Isles Community. The neighborhood is surrounded by Morgan Avenue, Logan Avenue, 22nd Street, Interstate 94, Lake of the Isles Parkway, Hennepin Avenue and Interstate 394. This area was named for one of its first residents, Thomas Lowry, who helped to settle the area.
Unlike many other neighborhoods in Minneapolis, Lowry Hill has a relatively low population density. This works well for those who want to live in the city and don't want to deal with the congestion of the nearby downtown area; Downtown Minneapolis and all it has to offer in terms of entertainment, shopping and dining is still only minutes away.
Lowry Hill is within walking distance of the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden and the beloved Walker Art Center. This area is the heartbeat of the city, especially in terms of the arts community and cultural events.
