The North Loops boundaries are Interstate 394 in the south, Plymouth Avenue on the north. The neighborhood itself is surrounded by Interstate 94, 12th Street North, Third Avenue North, Washington Avenue, the Mississippi River and Hennepin Avenue.
Once dominated by industrial zoning, the North Loop has recently undergone a transformation into a much more residential space. Old warehouses and buildings have been converted into modern living spaces, restaurants have popped up in the area and the North Loop is even home to Target Field where the Minnesota Twins play baseball.
